Godela von Kirchbach is a psychotherapist (existential analysis) and couple therapist (systemic). At SFU she teaches psychotraumatology and directs a project of providing mobile psychotherapy to asylum seekers in Lower Austria. She was born in Göttingen in Germany and studied at the universities in Bonn and Heidelberg history and English literature. She has lived in Germany, Pakistan, the USA, Thailand, France, Switzerland and Austria. Since 1998 she has worked as a psychotherapist, first in France and Switzerland and since 2007 in Vienna. Since 2009 she has been working at the clinic of SFU. In 2013 she obtained her Ph.D. with a dissertation about couple therapy.
