Resume
Prof. Marek Sykora studied human medicine at Comenius University Bratislava and Vrije Universiteit Brussels. He completed his specialist training and further specialisation (neurointensive medicine) at the Neurological Clinic of the University of Heidelberg, as well as his habilitation on the subject of autonomic disorders in stroke. He has a PhD in neurology and an MSc from the European Master of Stroke Medicine course. His scientific interests include the autonomic nervous system, intracerebral haemorrhage, multimodal neuromonitoring and stroke. Since 2013 he has been head of the stroke unit/neurointensive care at the Department of Neurology.
