Prof. Dr. Manfred Schmidbauer is a full professor for inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the nervous system at Sigmund Freud University Vienna. After studying philosophy, art history and medicine in Vienna, he became a specialist in neurology, psychiatry and neuropathology with a habilitation in neurology. He was appointed head of the Department of Neurology at Oberwart Hospital, Burgenland, the Department of Neurology at Hietzing Hospital and the Neurological Centre Rosenhügel Pav. A. and the diploma for neuro - intensive medicine. He was appointed to the SFU Medicine Vienna in 2016.
