Resume
Univ.-Prof. Dr. Dr. Barbara Prüller-Strasser is a sports and health scientist with a focus
on nutritional medicine and public health. Research stays in Germany (University of
Freiburg), Denmark (University of Copenhagen) and the USA (Columbia
University, University of Texas at Austin). She is Chair of Nutritional Sciences at the
Faculty of Medicine of Sigmund Freud University Vienna and Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine at the University of Regensburg. In addition, she serves as Principal Investigator of a transnational Knowledge Platform on Nutrition, Microbiome and Human Health (JPI - Research focus: ageing (sarcopenia),
nutrition, exercise as medicine, immunobiology Teaching focus: nutritional medicine,
preventive medicine Page 17from 25 Healthy Diet for Healthy Life), as Associate
Editor for the Journal of Cachexia, Sarcopenia and Muscle and as Board Member for the Austrian Working Group for Clinical Nutrition. She advises sports teams on sports nutri.
