Prof. Rudolf Likar, MSc, is a specialist in anaesthesiology and general intensive care medicine, with additional specialisations in pain therapy and palliative medicine.
He is Head of the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine at Klagenfurt am Wörthersee Hospital and Head of the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine at Wolfsberg Regional Hospital.
Since 12 March 2019, he has been a university professor for the Chair of Palliative Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine at Sigmund Freud University in Vienna.
Court expert for anaesthesiology, general intensive care medicine and palliative medicine.
Past president of the Austrian Palliative Society (OPG). Past president of ÖGARI. Secretary general of the Austrian Pain Society (ÖSG).
