Doctorate on "Art therapy - a form of aesthetic practice. A psychological and cultural-historical investigation" 1983/84 at the University of Bremen, habilitation at the University of Bremen, professor at the Catholic University of Freiburg with a focus on curative education, rehabilitation and art therapy. Development and management of an international MA in art therapy. Research work with publications on the integration of art therapy at the women's hospital, at the child and adolescent psychiatry, at schools, in the museum, for inclusion, etc. Currently active in own practice, refugee aid and in the context of foreign assignments via SES for art therapy.
