Univ.-Prof. Priv.-Doz. Dr. med. univ. Mag. et Dr. rer. nat. Martin Grassberger studied
medicine and biology at the University of Vienna and practices as a specialist in
forensic medicine. 2005-2007 postgraduate studies in epidemiology at the London
School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine,University of London. 2007/2008 Institute
of Forensic Medicine, University Medical Centre Hamburg-Eppendorf. Habilitation in
forensic medicine in 2008 at the Medical University of Vienna. 2009 - 2012 Assistant
physician at the Pathological-Bacteriological Institute of the Rudolfstiftung Hospital,
Vienna. 2016 Appointed university professor for the chair of forensic medicine
at Sigmund Freud University Vienna.
Scientific director of the Austrian Academy of Abuse Medicine. University teaching at
the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Vienna and at the Faculty of
Medicine of Sigmund Freud University Vienna. An integrative approach to
evolution, ecology, nutrition and lifestyle for Forensic medicine, general pathology,
histology, medical anthropology, human and health ecology, evolutionary medicine
the meaning of health and disease as well as the communication of related research
results to students are particularly close to his heart. He is also the author of several
books and a skilled agricultural worker.
