Resume
Prof. Dr. Klaus Geissler has been head of the 5th Medical Department with Haematology, Oncology and Palliative Care at Hietzing Hospital since 2003. He completed his training as a specialist in internal medicine and haematological oncology at the Medical University of Vienna before embarking on a one-year research stay at the IU Medical Center in Indianapolis (USA). The focus of his scientific work is primarily on research into the regulatory mechanisms of normal and pathological haematopoiesis. Prof. Geissler has published his scientific findings in numerous high-ranking journals and
received several awards for them.
