Mag. Jorge Luis Rios, BA, is a registered psychotherapist and psychoanalyst listed with the Austrian Federal Ministry of Health. Part of his current clinical work and research focuses on the interaction between psyche and soma in sexuality – on those subtle transitions where affect, body and language touch each other. As a clinical sexologist and sex therapist following the Sexocorporel approach, he combines scientific foundations with an experience-oriented perspective on desire and the dynamics of physical expression.
In addition to his therapeutic work, he teaches the philosophical foundations of ethics in psychotherapy at the Sigmund Freud Private University in Vienna. In his teaching, he combines philosophical reflection, psychoanalytic thinking and clinical experience to make the ethical dimension of therapeutic practice tangible as a living dialogue between freedom, responsibility and encounter.
