Resume
After completing her medical studies at the
University of Vienna in 1991, she trained at
the University Clinic for Anaesthesiology,
General Intensive Care Medicine and Pain
Management in Vienna. In 2000 she was
appointed Professor in Anaesthesiology and
Intensive Care Medicine, and in 2008 she
was appointed Head of the Department of
Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care
Medicine at the Evangelical Hospital Vienna.
Dr Kietaibl was President of the Austrian
Society of Anaesthesiology, Resuscitation
and Intensive Care Medicine (ÖGARI) 2011-
2013, Chairperson of the Subcommittee:
Transfusion & Haemostasis of the European
Specialist Society (ESA) 2010-2012. She is a
delegate to the European Board of
Anaesthesiology (EBA).
