After school education and a traineeship, Norbert Baum studied from 1969 to 1973 at the HFF in Potsdam / Babelsberg with the certificate: Diplom-Hochschulcameramann. Back at the DFF in Berlin, he worked as a cameraman. From 1979 to 1991 Norbert Baumann was a freelance film cameraman in the field of industrial and advertising film. Completed further training as a "computer graphics specialist" opened up new professional opportunities in 1992. From 1992 to 2001 he was project supervisor in the video and PC area and ultimately head of the "Helliwood Media Center Berlin Northeast". Since then he has worked as a freelance recording lecturer at various state and private universities.
